Land Surveying Projects
Waterline Extension and System Improvements, Town of Friendship: Topographic survey and design mapping services were provided by Avery for 4 miles of new waterline and a new storage tank. In addition to a 2-mile level run between the service area and the existing outdated tank, surveying services included the preparation of easements for the new mains and tank.
Waterline and Sanitary Sewer Extension, Village of Churchville: Detailed design survey and mapping was performed by Avery for 3,300 linear feet of new water line and 2,600 linear feet of new sanitary sewer in the Village. Property surveying services were also provided for utility easements. After construction was completed, Avery also prepared record mapping for the completed improvements.
Churchville-Chili Central Schools Campus Master Plan Survey: Quality campus planning requires quality basemapping, and that is why Avery was hired to perform a topographic survey and prepare mapping for 200 acres of the school property. As part of the project, a small farm was also subdivided from the school property, and Avery prepared and filed the appropriate map with the County Clerk. The mapping has subsequently been used by a number of project teams for building improvements, a bus facility, new athletic fields and parking lot expansions.
Windsor Manufacturing: Topographic survey and design mapping for the architectural team planning this manufacturing facility in the Rochester Science Park were only two tasks provided by Avery. A subdivision map was also prepared and filed with the Monroe County Clerk, construction stakeout was provided, and a post construction survey and instrument map was prepared.
Waterline Extension, Monroe County Water Authority, Chili: System improvements to the Monroe County Water Authority facilities on the western side of Monroe County included a 4-mile extension to distribution lines in the Town of Chili, south of Black Creek. Avery was hired to perform the topographic survey and design mapping for the new system.
Roberts Wesleyan College, Campus Mapping: Within the past several years, the Buffalo Road campus has blossomed with development of new buildings, athletic fields and parking improvements. Much of this development was planned and designed using topographic basemapping prepared by Avery. At 50-acres, the campus is now developed with over 20 buildings and competition level playing fields. In addition, the accurate surveying of the site proved useful for the integrate grading needed for the sports fields and the stormwater facilities on the flatlands abutting Buffalo Road.
K-Mart ALTA Survey, Ridge Road Store, City of Rochester: Redevelopment of older plazas typically begins with this type of detailed survey, which includes boundary, topography and site improvements, thus providing the owner, leasing agents, and design professionals with an accurate map of the site. In addition to documenting all above ground features, Avery was hired to survey/map all underground utilities, including sewers. Once surveyed, the engineers performed a drainage study and prepared a drainage report for the client.
